Art therapy around the world
Art therapy involves the use of creative techniques such as drawing, painting, collage, coloring, or sculpting to help people express themselves artistically and examine the psychological and emotional undertones in their art. With the guidance of a credentialed art therapist, clients can "decode" the nonverbal messages, symbols, and metaphors often found in these art forms, which should lead to a better understanding of their feelings and behavior so they can move on to resolve deeper issues.
Art therapy has been shown to benefit people of all ages. Research indicates art therapy can improve communication and concentration and can help reduce feelings of isolation. This type of therapy has also been shown to lead to increases in self-esteem, confidence, and self-awareness. You have been invited to join a group of individuals with Therapeutic Art and Self Love exercises that celebrate diversity, anti racism & beautiful traditions from around the world.
Self expression and meditation plays a HUGE role in our mental health. Art therapy is a great way to explore your feelings, express them freely and even keep record of your growth, progress and development. In this class Danielle will take lessons from around the world, beautiful and mindful traditions from cultures that will not only expand our world views, but guides us into a mindful state within ourselves. In this course you will meet special guests, learn from different speakers about their own cultures and work on your inner self love, expression, anti racism and more.
